About This Section

NYSFAAA, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Education, supports the participation of all New York postsecondary institutions in the New York Statewide Default Prevention Project. This website has been created to provide your school with tools that will help you make a contribution to this initiative with a minimal expenditure in time, staff or money.

The default prevention tools available via this website are roughly divided between:

  • Those that will assist you to help strengthen a borrower’s relationship with his or her loan, and
  • Those that relate to a borrower’s relationship with his or her educational program.
